Job Description
Role Overview: The Material Engineer is responsible for overseeing the management, quality, and proper utilization of materials required for construction and PMV operations. This position ensures that all material processes, from procurement to site deployment, follow technical specifications, project requirements, and safety standards. The role requires an analytical, detail-oriented engineer capable of improving material workflow and supporting multiple project sites.
Material Planning and Coordination: The Material Engineer will coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to plan material requirements accurately. This includes forecasting material needs, reviewing stock levels, and ensuring timely availability of materials to avoid project delays. The role also involves planning for specialized materials, critical spares, and replacements while maintaining alignment with project schedules.
Quality Control and Compliance: The engineer will ensure that all incoming materials meet company standards, project specifications, and relevant regulatory compliance. This includes inspecting materials for defects, verifying specifications, documenting quality reports, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve discrepancies. Maintaining quality assurance at every step is critical for operational success.
