Position Overview
We seek a proactive, creative Marketing and Communications Manager to oversee all aspects of MAC Inc.'s marketing and communications strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about arts, audience development, and cultural space activation, with a collaborative mindset and strong professional drive.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and evaluate marketing and communications activities
Create and manage marketing campaigns aligned with MAC Inc.'s brand
Drive audience growth and revenue through strategic initiatives
Manage digital marketing strategies
Conduct and analyze audience surveys
Oversee advertising and publicity efforts
Create engaging content across multiple platforms
Align all marketing efforts with organizational strategic objectives
Required Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations
Extensive experience in marketing or communications roles
Demonstrated success in marketing campaign development and execution
Proficiency in MS Office 365, electronic booking systems, POS Shopify, and CRMs
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (desired)
Current Clean "C" Class Driver's License
Working with Children Card and National Police Clearance
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Strong commercial acumen and practical decision-making ability
Superior time management and organizational capabilities
Outstanding stakeholder management and networking abilities
Clear and adaptable communication style
Proven team collaboration skills
Knowledge of contemporary arts, local artists, and cultural networks
Experience writing for Australian arts audiences
Working Conditions
12-month contract with potential for extension or permanent position
Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends
Travel required between two venues
Six-day operation schedule

About Us
Formed in 1979 by a group of dedicated volunteers passionate about providing a focus for arts and culture in the Perth hills, Mundaring Arts Centre (MAC) has remained true to its origins.
Over the years, the MAC staff, volunteers and artists have delivered a diverse range of creative arts experiences, annually engaging thousands of individuals of all interests and ages.
MAC’s two venues (Mundaring and Midland Junction Arts Centre) feature new exhibitions bi-monthly and showcase the cultural offerings of exceptional local artists and craftspeople. MAC also presents a range of community projects, workshops and cultural events at the arts centres, local schools and in the wider hills community.
A not-for-profit community arts organisation, MAC is run by a volunteer management committee, dedicated professional staff and a large group of passionate volunteers. MAC provides arts leadership, advocacy for West Australian artists and cultural advisory services for individuals and organisations.
