About the Role:

BuildWell HR Solutions is representing a prominent Government Company in Fujairah, UAE, seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Pilot. This role requires the candidate to navigate and maneuver ships through various waterways safely, ensuring the safety of the vessel, crew, and cargo. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of maritime regulations, excellent communication skills, and a proven record of handling vessels in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-arrival and Departure Briefings: Conduct detailed briefings with the ship's captain and crew, outlining the navigation plan.

Vessel Navigation: Safely navigate vessels through narrow channels, ports, and other restricted waterways, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations.

Coordination: Communicate effectively with port authorities, tugboat operators, and relevant personnel to ensure smooth vessel operations.

Environmental Monitoring: Continuously monitor and assess weather conditions, tides, and other environmental factors that may impact vessel navigation.

Expert Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to vessel captains for the safe and efficient maneuvering of the ship.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all pilotage activities, ensuring that all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.

Requirements:

Licensing: Hold a valid Marine Pilot license/certificate.

Certification:

Valid Certificate of Competency and Endorsement as a Master Mariner (FG) for a Foreign Going Vessel, issued by the government of the candidate's nationality.

Endorsement attesting recognition under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978, as amended (if applicable).

Valid STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) certificates.

Experience:

Minimum of five years of experience in unlimited pilotage, including handling Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) at major ports.

Extensive knowledge of local maritime regulations, navigational routes, and port facilities.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to navigate and manage vessels in complex and challenging environments.
