Primary Objective:

To ensure the highest standards of technical maintenance, operational efficiency, and safety for our yacht fleet through comprehensive engineering management and proactive maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Management and Coordination

Conduct weekly comprehensive maintenance meetings with captains, technicians, and electricians

Develop and implement detailed weekly maintenance reports for each vessel

Create actionable maintenance plans with precise cost estimations

Manage and expedite dry docking processes for vessels

Develop annual technical and financial maintenance plans for the entire fleet

Operational Oversight

Supervise all technical tasks including:

Hull cleaning and pressure washing

Boat polishing

Conducting and managing fire drills

Routine electrical and mechanical system maintenance

Perform regular, comprehensive vessel inspections

Ensure all vessel systems are functioning at optimal performance

Monitor and maintain safety certificates and regulatory compliance

Technical Documentation and Inventory Management

Maintain meticulous records of technical repairs and breakdowns using specialized software

Manage inventory of parts and spare components

Prepare vessels for regulatory registrations and inspections

Develop and maintain detailed yacht maintenance checklists (daily, weekly, monthly, annually)

Vendor and Service Management

Communicate and negotiate with service providers and suppliers

Secure high-quality services and materials at competitive prices

Supervise third-party service providers to ensure quality and precision

Coordinate major maintenance jobs and complex repairs

Emergency Response and Availability

Maintain on-call availability for technical emergencies

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance and repair requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related maritime technical field

Advanced certifications in yacht maintenance and marine systems preferred

Professional Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of yacht maintenance experience (Mandatory)

Proven track record in marine technical management

Experience with luxury yacht maintenance highly desirable

Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of marine mechanical and electrical systems

Proficiency in maintenance management software

Understanding of maritime safety regulations and compliance standards

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Personal Attributes
