Role Overview

The Manager Mechanical will lead and manage all aspects of mechanical project design throughout the RIBA stages, ensuring alignment with project goals, budgets, and technical standards. This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, oversight of design consultants, and the implementation of innovative technologies like BIM to optimize design quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Project Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure mechanical design aligns with overall project objectives.

Consultant Management: Oversee and coordinate the work of design consultants, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Design Oversight: Lead the review of mechanical designs, ensuring they meet technical specifications and project requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.

Leadership in Design Review: Provide leadership in the review process, ensuring compliance with project goals and technical standards.

QA/QC: Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes across all mechanical design activities.

Technology Integration: Utilize BIM and other innovative technologies to enhance design efficiency and quality.

Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with UAE regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.

Utility Costing & Estimation: Manage utility costing and estimation to align with project budgets.

Profile Requirements

Experience: A seasoned mechanical engineer with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience, including extensive experience in managing complex design projects across all RIBA stages.

Leadership Skills: Proven leadership capabilities in overseeing design consultants and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of mechanical systems, design management, BIM technology, and the UAE regulatory environment.

Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to innovation and quality.
