Job Description
Logistics Operations Management The Logistics Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire logistics process within the organization. This includes ensuring smooth coordination of material flow, timely delivery, and compliance with organizational objectives. The role requires meticulous planning and attention to detail to maintain operational efficiency.
Project Coordination and Oversight The role entails planning the setup of project sites, coordinating staff, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensuring all activities are executed according to project timelines. The Logistics Officer will actively monitor ongoing operations to prevent delays and resolve any issues that arise.
Material and Equipment Scheduling Creating and managing schedules for the movement of materials, equipment, and workforce is a key responsibility. The Logistics Officer ensures that all project-related supplies are available on time and that resources are efficiently allocated across projects.
Staff and Vendor Management The position requires coordinating with employees, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure that tasks are completed effectively. The Logistics Officer will prioritize work orders, assign responsibilities, and maintain accountability across the logistics team.
Health, Safety, and Compliance Ensuring safety protocols and compliance standards are strictly adhered to on all projects is critical. The Logistics Officer will monitor and enforce organizational safety policies to minimize risk and maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting Maintaining accurate records of logistics operations, inventory movements, and project progress is an essential part of this role. The Logistics Officer will provide timely reports to management to support strategic decision-making.
