Role Overview The Logistics Officer role is a critical operational position responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient logistics support across project sites. This role supports organizational objectives by managing logistics planning, coordination, and execution while maintaining control over timelines, resources, and safety requirements throughout project lifecycles.
Logistics Planning and Coordination The position involves planning, overseeing, and coordinating logistics operations to support ongoing and upcoming projects. This includes organizing the setup of project sites, aligning logistics schedules with project requirements, and ensuring all resources are available at the right time to avoid delays or disruptions.
Project Site Management The Logistics Officer will coordinate and monitor the activities of employees, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors involved in project execution. This role ensures that all parties work in alignment with project goals and that site operations progress smoothly from initiation to completion.
Resource Scheduling and Control The role requires effective scheduling of staff, subcontractors, equipment, and suppliers to ensure timely project completion. Proper prioritization of work orders and task organization based on project deadlines is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and meeting delivery commitments.
Material and Equipment Movement The position includes planning and managing the movement of materials, heavy equipment, light vehicles, workforce, and spare parts. Detailed logistics plans and timetables must be developed to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
Safety and Operational Compliance The Logistics Officer plays a key role in maintaining safe logistics operations by ensuring proper handling, transportation, and storage of materials and equipment. This includes supporting safety standards on project sites and coordinating logistics activities in line with company policies and project guidelines.
