Job Description
Job Purpose:
The primary point of contact for all freight and logistics requirements.
Management of smooth operation of incoming and outgoing materials.
Support rendered to the site lead and wider team operating on-site.
Proficient with industry-based incoterms and material handling protocols.
Job Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination:
Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure efficient movement of goods.
Coordinate and schedule transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Ensure sound knowledge of regulatory attestation, documentation, and freight requirements in UAE, GCC, and other regions.
Shipping and Receiving:
Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for completeness and accuracy.
Effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Supplier and Carrier Management:
Monitor logistics vendors to ensure compliance with internal protocols.
Collaborate with procurement team to onboard new vendors.
Manage vendor database and update records such as ICV and others.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs documentation.
Ensure adherence to organizational documentation requirements.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
Resolve logistics issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
Utilize ERP systems (IFS10, SAP) to manage and track shipments.
Update ERP with accurate material and dimension data for documentation.
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain packing lists, delivery notes, and logistic documentation.
Ensure On-Time Performance on all orders meets company standards.
Adhere to company EHS policies and protocols, reporting incidents as necessary.
Provide feedback on health, safety, and environmental practices.
Requirements
Experience: 3-5 years in logistics, with segment-specific knowledge.
ERP Experience: Proficiency in IFS ERP required; SAP experience beneficial.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GCC regulations, import/export procedures, and UAE customs.
Language Skills: Excellent English required; additional languages advantageous.
Personal Attributes: Responsible, disciplined, team-oriented, with a positive attitude and ability to execute tasks efficiently.
Age: 25 – 28 years.
Salary
AED 8,000 to 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
