Job Description
Shipment Coordination: The Logistics Coordinator will be primarily responsible for organizing and managing both local and international shipments across air, sea, and land freight channels. This includes import/export operations and timely handling of transportation schedules. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for logistics flow and the ability to ensure delivery efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness in transit planning and execution.
Documentation and Compliance: A key responsibility is preparing and managing all logistics documentation accurately, including invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, and shipment files. You’ll ensure compliance with UAE customs, municipality, and trade documentation requirements for both freezone and mainland operations. The role requires thoroughness in keeping updated and validated paperwork for inspection and customs clearance.
Government Liaison: The candidate must be skilled at coordinating with government authorities for acquiring necessary permits, clearances, and trade licenses. This includes following up on applications with customs departments, municipalities, and other regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted logistics operations across borders.
Vendor and Internal Team Coordination: You will coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal departments such as sales, service, and finance to streamline logistics processes. Regular updates and close communication will be required to align shipment timelines with customer and operational expectations, maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
Shipment Tracking and Inventory: This role also involves tracking the movement of shipments in real-time, managing delivery expectations, and reporting regularly to internal stakeholders. Maintaining accurate records of inventory movement, cross-checking shipment status, and updating databases for accountability are all integral to success in this role.
Regulation and Market Awareness: The Logistics Coordinator should be highly familiar with UAE trade laws, customs protocols, and the latest changes in freezone operational guidelines. Staying informed on regulatory updates ensures proactive action and prevents delays in logistics, while also helping the organization remain compliant and competitive.
How to Apply:
Interested applicants should submit their updated CV to jobs@jobmaze.ae with the subject line "Logistics Coordinator – Dubai".
