Job Description:

Menasa & Partners is seeking a seasoned Legal & Compliance Lawyer to join a dynamic team based in the UAE. This role is ideal for a legal professional with extensive experience in corporate governance, compliance, and risk mitigation within the EMEA region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing legal and compliance matters, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal & Compliance Management:

Manage and oversee all legal and compliance matters for the EMEA region.

Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Corporate Governance & Risk Mitigation:

Drive corporate governance initiatives and strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks.

Advise on and implement risk management frameworks and policies.

Contractual Review & Drafting:

Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.

Ensure all contractual arrangements comply with local and international legal standards.

Strategic Analysis & Local Counsel Liaison:

Provide strategic legal analysis and advice to senior management and stakeholders.

Liaise with local counsel and external legal advisors on complex legal matters and jurisdictional issues.

Requirements:

Licensing & Experience:

Licensed lawyer recognized in the UAE.

8-10 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with significant exposure to legal and compliance matters within the EMEA region.

Language Skills:

Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, is essential.

Knowledge & Expertise:

Strong knowledge of UAE and EMEA compliance laws and regulations.

Experience in corporate governance, compliance programs, and risk mitigation strategies.
