In addition to hands-on technical work, the Lead LMR Technician provides expert guidance on system controls, preventative maintenance, and repair procedures to maintain optimal system performance. The position conducts detailed site surveys to assess coverage requirements, equipment placement, and system capabilities, supporting upgrades and performance optimization initiatives. The role also coordinates with vendors and service providers to procure parts, circuits, and equipment necessary to meet mission objectives while ensuring minimal operational disruption. With lead-level responsibilities, the technician supports shop operations, oversees installation practices, manages workflow efficiency, and maintains accurate inventory records through equipment tracking databases. Strict compliance with government security policies and operational standards is essential, including maintaining an active Secret Government Clearance and ensuring all work aligns with regulatory and mission requirements.
