Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in Labor and Delivery to join our dedicated team at Central Hospital, Sharjah. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support to women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assess the condition of mothers and fetuses during labor and delivery

Implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team

Perform regular vital sign checks and fetal monitoring

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Assist physicians during deliveries and obstetric procedures

Provide emotional support and coaching to patients and families

Document all care activities and maintain accurate medical records

Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations

Educate patients about postpartum care and newborn care

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Valid UAE nursing license

Minimum 3 years of direct Labor and Delivery experience

Previous UAE healthcare experience (mandatory)

Current BLS and NRP certifications

Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring and labor progression

Excellent communication skills in English

Arabic language proficiency preferred

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities

Experience with high-risk pregnancies and emergency situations

Proficiency in using electronic medical records

Excellent interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities

Physical stamina for long periods of standing and lifting

Working Conditions

Full-time position with rotating shifts

Weekend and holiday coverage as required

12-hour shifts

On-call responsibilities may be required
