Job Description

METOS is looking for a commercially driven and agriculturally rooted Key Account Manager to take full ownership of its Prairie territory across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This is not a conventional sales role. It is a territory ownership position for someone who thinks and operates like a business owner, ready to build and grow a B2B partner network across one of agriculture's most productive regions and represent a global AgTech brand that has been shaping precision farming for over four decades. The right person will be positioned to grow directly into the Country Manager role as METOS Canada expands.

In this role, you will develop and execute a commercial plan to grow hardware and software subscription revenue across the three Prairie provinces, managing existing key B2B partner relationships with distributors, dealers, and ag retailers while actively recruiting new distribution and dealer partners to strengthen the network. You will sell the full METOS portfolio, including METOS IoT weather stations, TSM TopSoil Mapper, the FieldClimate platform, and AI-driven advisory tools, conducting regular field visits, joint customer calls, and attending industry events across the territory. You will identify market opportunities, track competition, and feed insights directly to the CEO and product teams in Austria, represent METOS Canada at trade shows and conferences, and travel to headquarters in Austria at least once per year for strategy, training, and team connection.

The ideal candidate brings three to five or more years of experience in B2B sales, key account management, or agri-business, with AgTech or precision agriculture experience considered a strong advantage. Deep familiarity with Prairie agriculture is essential, whether through a farming background, crops, growers, input dealers, or the ag retail ecosystem. You are a self-starter who manages your territory independently and thrives without rigid structure, and you communicate confidently whether engaging at the farm gate or in an executive boardroom. A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba are required.
