Job Overview:

The Junior Project Engineer at AIMS HR is integral to the planning, execution, and management of engineering projects. Reporting to the Project Engineer, this role involves providing technical expertise, coordinating project activities, and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Junior Project Engineer will support cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Define project scope, objectives, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and lead the site team to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Technical Coordination & Documentation:

Coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, addressing discrepancies through Technical Queries (TQ) and Requests for Information (RFI).

Ensure that only “Fit for Construction” drawings are utilized on site.

Prepare and submit shop drawings and samples promptly, following up to secure necessary approvals.

Monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors, ensuring they meet project specifications.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

Collaborate with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to prepare and conduct Tool Box Talks before site activities commence.

Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, proactively addressing potential hazards.

Quality Assurance & Risk Management:

Implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and client expectations.

Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with project specifications, documenting findings thoroughly.

Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies, monitoring and addressing risks proactively.

Resource Allocation & Management:

Assist in allocating necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives within the set budget and schedule.

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of resources.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations effectively.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and detailed reports to the Project Engineer.

Ensure compliance with construction codes and performance standards, reporting any quality issues to the Project Engineer.

Site Supervision & Technical Advisory:

Act as a technical adviser for subcontractors and operatives on-site, providing guidance and support as needed.

Review and verify Labour Supply and Subcontractor bills, ensuring accuracy before countersigning and forwarding them to the Project Engineer.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

2 to 4 years of experience in the UAE, with a solid background in engineering project management within the construction industry.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, practices, and site management methodologies relevant to the project scope.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, resources, and activities effectively.

Proficiency in project management software, engineering design tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, codes, standards, and best practices applicable to the construction industry.

A strong commitment to quality, safety, and environmental stewardship in project execution.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: AED 3,500 to 4,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Additional Benefits: 30 days of annual leave with an air ticket, benefits as per UAE Labour Law.
