Job Description:

The Junior Logistics Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods. This position involves monitoring and reviewing the daily operations of the logistics department, coordinating the movement of goods, and negotiating with vendors to obtain favorable terms. The role also requires close collaboration with other departments such as Procurement and Finance to optimize the logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.

Monitor and review the daily operations of the logistics department to ensure timely delivery.

Coordinate the movement of goods and manage logistics schedules.

Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms.

Collaborate with Procurement and Finance departments to ensure cost-effective logistics operations.

Analyze the overall budget and expenses for the logistics department.

Determine the most efficient and cost-effective transportation services.

Ensure compliance with UAE Customs Regulations and other relevant laws.

Requirements:

Open to Sri Lankan and Pakistani nationalities.

Male, 35 years old and below.

At least 2 years of UAE experience in freight forwarding companies is essential.

Knowledge of UAE Customs Regulations is required.

Experience in handling trade lanes, particularly with Iraq, is an advantage.

Strong understanding of Incoterms and their applications.

A UAE driving license is an advantage.
