Role Overview:

Levity is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Development Engineer to support engineering design, development, testing, and implementation activities. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineering professionals, assist with technical projects, prepare engineering documentation, and contribute to improving products, systems, and processes.

Engineering Design and Development:

• Assist in developing engineering designs, technical solutions, and project specifications.
• Support the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Review design requirements and assist in identifying suitable engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with senior engineers to ensure development activities meet project objectives.

Testing and Technical Support:

• Assist with testing, evaluation, and validation of engineering components or systems.
• Monitor performance and document test results and technical findings.
• Identify technical issues and support troubleshooting activities.
• Recommend improvements to enhance product performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and other relevant teams.
• Support project planning, progress tracking, and technical coordination.
• Follow up on assigned engineering tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Assist with maintaining project records and development documentation.

Documentation and Process Improvement:

• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project updates.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes, testing activities, and engineering revisions.
• Follow established engineering standards and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new technical solutions.

Essential Skills:

• Understanding of engineering principles and development processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in engineering development, design, or technical support.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering design software.
• Knowledge of testing, validation, and quality control procedures.
• Understanding of project documentation and engineering standards.
• A relevant engineering degree or technical qualification is an advantage.
