Charterhouse is currently partnering with a client in the project and consultancy sector to recruit a Junior Accounting Analyst. This role will primarily involve overseeing financial accounting areas and leveraging data analysis to develop reports and MIS statements. The aim is to support the management accounting functions within the finance team. Additionally, the Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in developing reporting policies and spreadsheet processes to ensure accurate and timely MIS and KPI analysis across the business for management purposes. The role also entails assessing various performance metrics to provide analysis on variances, cost variations, and profitability forecasts, which will aid in business and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Manage financial accounting areas and utilize data analysis techniques to produce reports and MIS statements.

Management Accounting Support: Develop reporting policies and spreadsheet processes to ensure accurate and timely analysis of KPIs.

Performance Analysis: Assess performance metrics to analyze variances, cost variations, and profitability forecasts.

Business Support: Provide insights and analysis to support business and commercial decisions.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports at all levels within the organization, adding commentaries and analysis where necessary.

Autonomous Work: Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities independently.

Requirements:

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a fast-paced environment.

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Excel Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial data analysis and reporting purposes.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to understand accounting entries and perform financial analysis.

Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively report and present findings to stakeholders.

Autonomous Worker: Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and work independently.
