Joinery Supervisor

Job Description:

A Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a skilled and experienced Joinery Supervisor to lead and supervise a team of carpenters and machine operators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in managing production schedules, quality control, and team leadership.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and machine operators.

Ensure efficient workflow and productivity among team members.

Production Management:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production schedules.

Meet deadlines and production targets.

Wood Selection & Machine Handling:

Identify and select diverse wood types.

Handle all types of wood machines, including solid wood, six-head molder, multi-rip saw, surface thickness planer, and multi-rip saw machines.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and finished products.

Ensure quality standards are met.

Identify and address any defects or issues promptly.

Inventory Management:

Oversee the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment.

Ensure adequate stock levels and proper storage to prevent damage and wastage.

Training & Mentorship:

Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to new and existing employees.

Offer regular feedback and coaching to team members.

Safety & Cleanliness:

Follow established safety rules and regulations.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Project Completion:

Ensure the completion of assigned jobs as per specifications within the designated time frame.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

Diploma in Carpentry / Secondary School.

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years as a senior supervisor in carpentry/joinery.

Special Skills:

Expertise in carpentry and joinery.

Ability to handle various wood machines and tools.

Nationality:

Any nationality.

Male.
