Overview:

New Mowasat Hospital is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage and support our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Hyper-Converged Solutions, UNIX and Microsoft Windows environments, network security, IP Telephony, switch and router management, wireless networking, and help desk management. This role is crucial to maintaining the hospital’s IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Hyper-Converged Solutions:

Implementation & Management: Implement and manage hyper-converged infrastructure solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and efficiency.

2. Operating Systems Administration:

UNIX & Microsoft Windows: Administer UNIX and Microsoft Windows environments, ensuring smooth operation, timely updates, and resolution of system-related issues.

Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard hospital data and ensure business continuity.

3. Network Security:

Security Measures: Design, implement, and monitor network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.

Firewall & Email Security: Administer firewall and email security solutions, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively mitigating potential risks.

4. Telecommunications Management:

IP Telephony: Manage IP Telephony systems to ensure seamless communication across the hospital. Address and resolve any telephony-related challenges promptly.

5. Network Infrastructure Management:

Switches & Routers: Oversee the configuration and management of network switches and routers, maintaining a robust and secure network infrastructure.

Wireless Networking: Configure and manage wireless networking solutions to ensure reliable and secure connectivity throughout the hospital.

6. Help Desk Management:

User Support: Provide efficient and effective help desk support, addressing user issues promptly. Troubleshoot and escalate issues as necessary to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Background:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A postgraduate degree is advantageous.

2. Professional Experience:

Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in IT systems administration, with proven expertise in hyper-converged solutions, UNIX, and Microsoft Windows environments.

Network Security: In-depth knowledge of network security principles, best practices, and hands-on experience with security solutions.

3. Technical Skills:

IP Telephony: Experience in managing IP Telephony systems.

Networking: Proficiency in the configuration and management of network switches, routers, and wireless networking.

Help Desk Management: Strong understanding of help desk management processes, with a focus on user support and issue resolution.

4. Certifications:

Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Nutanix are highly desirable.

Security Certifications: CISM, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent certifications in information security will be an added advantage.

5. Personal Attributes:

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Communication: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with hospital staff and management.
