Role Overview – Blue Sky Thinking Group is hiring an IT Specialist for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for technically proficient IT professionals with strong troubleshooting skills, system administration experience, and the ability to manage IT infrastructure, provide technical support, maintain systems and networks, and ensure reliable technology operations within a dynamic business environment.

Technical Support and Helpdesk – You will provide technical support and helpdesk services by responding to user requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, providing remote and on-site support, and ensuring timely resolution of IT issues to maintain employee productivity and satisfaction.

System Administration and Management – You will manage system administration by maintaining servers (Windows Server, Linux), managing user accounts and permissions, configuring system settings, monitoring system performance, implementing updates and patches, and ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operation of IT systems.

Network Administration and Support – You will provide network administration and support by managing network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, access points), monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, configuring VLANs and network security, and ensuring reliable, secure network connectivity across the organization.

Hardware and Software Maintenance – You will maintain hardware and software by installing, configuring, and upgrading computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals, managing software licenses, deploying applications, performing hardware repairs and replacements, and ensuring all IT equipment is functional and up-to-date.

Cybersecurity and Data Protection – You will implement cybersecurity and data protection measures by managing antivirus and endpoint security solutions, monitoring security threats, implementing firewalls and access controls, conducting security audits, performing backups and disaster recovery procedures, and ensuring protection of company data and systems.

IT Infrastructure Management – You will manage IT infrastructure by overseeing servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), email systems, and other IT infrastructure components, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

User Account and Access Management – You will manage user accounts and access by creating and managing Active Directory accounts, configuring email accounts, managing permissions and security groups, implementing identity and access management (IAM) policies, and ensuring proper authentication and authorization across systems.

IT Documentation and Asset Management – You will maintain IT documentation and asset management by documenting IT systems, network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, maintaining IT asset inventory, tracking hardware and software licenses, and ensuring accurate records for audits and compliance.

Backup and Disaster Recovery – You will implement backup and disaster recovery solutions by configuring automated backups, testing backup integrity, developing disaster recovery plans, performing system restorations when needed, and ensuring business continuity in case of system failures or data loss.

IT Projects and Implementations – You will support IT projects and implementations by participating in system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, software deployments, office relocations, and new technology rollouts, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring successful project delivery within timelines and budgets.

Vendor and Service Provider Coordination – You will coordinate with IT vendors and service providers by managing contracts, coordinating hardware and software procurement, liaising with internet service providers (ISPs), cloud service vendors, and support partners, and ensuring timely delivery of IT services and products.

IT Policies and Compliance – You will support IT policies and compliance by implementing IT security policies, acceptable use policies, data protection guidelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, GDPR where applicable), regulatory requirements, and company IT governance frameworks.

Training and User Support – You will provide training and user support by conducting IT orientation for new employees, delivering training on IT systems and tools, creating user guides and documentation, and empowering users to effectively utilize technology resources.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization – You will monitor system and network performance by using monitoring tools, analyzing logs, identifying bottlenecks, optimizing configurations, and proactively addressing performance issues to ensure optimal IT infrastructure operation.

IT Specialist Experience – Proven experience as an IT Specialist, IT Support Specialist, System Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar IT role is required. Your background should demonstrate hands-on technical expertise in managing IT infrastructure, providing support, and maintaining systems and networks.
