About Role

GIHS Dubai is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure while providing technical support to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and security systems

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues

Implement and maintain data backup and recovery procedures

Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed

Configure and maintain email systems, user accounts, and access permissions

Ensure IT security protocols are followed and updated regularly

Document technical procedures and maintain IT inventory

Train staff on new software and hardware implementations

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT procurement and maintenance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support or system administration

Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security

Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and MS Office Suite

Proficiency in managing backup and recovery systems

Understanding of IT security best practices

Experience with help desk ticket management

Desired Skills

ITIL certification or similar IT service management qualifications

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar)

Knowledge of virtualization technologies

Familiarity with educational institution IT systems

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
