About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Executive to join The Bloomington Academy, a British Curriculum school in Ajman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the school's IT infrastructure, supporting educational technology initiatives, and ensuring smooth technological operations throughout the campus.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems

Provide technical support to staff, teachers, and students for hardware, software, and educational technology

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of school management systems and educational platforms

Ensure the proper functioning of IT equipment in classrooms, labs, and administrative offices

Maintain network security and implement data protection measures

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related purchases and maintenance

Support teachers in integrating technology into their teaching practices

Manage the school's digital resources and licenses

Conduct basic IT training sessions for staff and faculty

Maintain inventory of IT equipment and manage repair/replacement schedules

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Proven experience working in British Curriculum schools within the UAE

Valid UAE equivalency certification

Strong knowledge of educational technology and school management systems

Experience with network administration and IT security

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work effectively in an educational environment

Preferred Qualifications

Residency in Ajman or Sharjah

Experience with British educational technology platforms

Knowledge of KHDA/MOE technical requirements for schools

Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)

Experience with digital learning platforms and tools
