IT Coordinator

Job Description

Job Overview: GIHS Dubai is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Coordinator to support and manage the school's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IT support, networking, and school-related technology systems, with a customer-oriented mindset to assist faculty and staff.

System & Network Support: You will oversee and maintain the school's hardware and software systems including servers, networks, and educational platforms. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner will be a key responsibility.

School Management Systems: You’ll work closely with academic and administrative staff to manage and support the use of school management systems (SMS). Ensuring smooth operation and training users will be essential for maintaining an effective learning environment.

Technical Training: A vital part of your role will involve training teachers and staff on how to use new technologies, tools, and systems. Your ability to communicate technical information in simple terms will make you a valuable resource for the team.

IT Maintenance: You will manage the setup, maintenance, and repair of desktops, laptops, projectors, printers, and smartboards. Preventive maintenance and system backups will ensure that learning and administrative operations are never disrupted.

Software & Licensing: You'll be responsible for the installation and management of software and ensure all licensing requirements are met. This includes antivirus updates, educational software tools, and compliance with IT policies.

Vendor Coordination: As the primary IT point of contact, you’ll liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance contracts. You'll ensure all solutions meet the school’s quality and budgetary expectations.
