Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented IP Billing Officer to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing inpatient billing processes, ensuring accurate invoice generation, and maintaining efficient billing operations while adhering to healthcare billing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage inpatient billing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures

Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for inpatient services

Generate and review detailed patient invoices, ensuring all charges are accurately captured and documented

Coordinate with insurance companies, third-party payers, and patients regarding billing inquiries and resolution

Monitor and reconcile billing discrepancies, taking appropriate corrective actions

Prepare and analyze financial reports related to inpatient billing operations

Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations

Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes

Process claim submissions and follow up on pending claims

Identify and resolve billing issues in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in healthcare billing, preferably in a hospital setting

Proven expertise in medical billing systems and procedures

Strong understanding of insurance billing processes and healthcare regulations

Proficiency in healthcare billing software and MS Office applications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
