Job Description / Role

As an IoT Architect at Capgemini, you will provide expert advice, knowledge, and implementation support for a wide range of IoT platforms and technologies. You will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable and secure IoT solutions, integrating IoT systems with cloud platforms, and implementing edge computing and analytics for real-time data processing. Your role will involve managing large-scale IoT deployments, ensuring security, and providing insights through IoT analytics and data visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities:

IoT Platforms & Technologies:

Provide expertise on IoT platforms, sensor devices, gateways, communication protocols, and frameworks.

Design and architect scalable, secure IoT solutions tailored to client needs.

Integrate IoT systems with cloud platforms like Azure IoT.

Edge Computing & Analytics:

Implement edge computing solutions for real-time data processing and decision-making.

Develop and deploy IoT analytics solutions to extract actionable insights from sensor data.

Data Management & Security:

Manage IoT data using databases, data lakes, and streaming platforms.

Ensure IoT security by implementing device authentication, encryption, and secure data transmission protocols.

Architecture Design:

Design IoT architectures capable of handling large-scale deployments and high data volumes.

Integrate IoT solutions with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, supply chain management) and manage IoT connectivity options (cellular networks, Wi-Fi, LPWAN).

Visualization & Emerging Technologies:

Utilize IoT data visualization and dashboarding tools to present insights effectively.

Stay updated with emerging IoT technologies and standards like edge AI, digital twins, and MQTT.

Project Management:

Oversee IoT projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in IoT platforms and technologies.

Proficiency in IoT connectivity options (cellular networks, Wi-Fi, LPWAN) and integration with enterprise systems.

Expertise in IoT data visualization tools and dashboards.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of IoT frameworks, edge computing, and real-time analytics.

Familiarity with IoT security best practices and data management techniques.
