Position Overview
We're seeking a full-time Investment Manager to join our Midlands and East team on a permanent basis. Based in either our Nottingham or Birmingham office with hybrid working options, you'll play a critical role in managing heritage grants across the region as part of an experienced and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Management
Assess funding applications against our strategic objectives and criteria
Make recommendations on grant awards and manage a portfolio of funded projects
Monitor project progress, outcomes, and financial compliance
Provide expert advice and guidance to applicants throughout the application process
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with heritage organizations and stakeholders
Conduct outreach activities to promote our funding programs
Represent the Heritage Fund at external events and meetings
Visit heritage sites to understand project impacts and needs
Strategic Implementation
Support the delivery of our Heritage 2033 strategic plan
Identify opportunities to maximize the impact of our investments
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure regional and national priorities are met
Share insights and learning from projects to inform future funding approaches
Team Collaboration
Work closely with colleagues across departments including Marketing and Communications
Contribute to the development of funding policies and procedures
Share knowledge and expertise with the wider organization
Participate in team meetings and organizational initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Knowledge of or interest in the heritage sector
Experience in grant management, project assessment, or related field
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Understanding of financial management and budgeting
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement
