Job Description

Role Overview: The Inventory Assistant will play a critical role in managing, tracking, and maintaining accurate records of all inventory within the PMV Central Store. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual capable of handling large volumes of stock while ensuring accuracy, timely updates, and compliance with company procedures. The Inventory Assistant ensures that all inventory items are available when required to support uninterrupted project operations.

Inventory Tracking: This paragraph focuses on the responsibility of maintaining a precise record of all materials, tools, and equipment. The Inventory Assistant will monitor stock levels, track incoming and outgoing items, and use inventory management systems to update stock details in real time. Effective tracking reduces the risk of shortages and supports efficient resource allocation.

Stock Verification & Audits: The Inventory Assistant will conduct regular physical stock counts, compare them with system records, and report discrepancies to the supervisor. Participation in internal and external audits is a key responsibility, ensuring all inventory practices meet company and PMV operational standards while adhering to safety and compliance regulations.

Material Handling & Organization: The role involves ensuring that all materials are stored properly in designated areas, labeled accurately, and easily accessible for daily operations. The Inventory Assistant will support warehouse organization, including arranging shelves, racks, and high-use items for optimized workflow and minimizing errors in retrieval and dispatch.

Coordination with Teams: The Inventory Assistant collaborates with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to ensure inventory availability aligns with project requirements. The role includes communicating shortages, preparing materials for site delivery, and supporting supervisors in planning inventory replenishment to avoid project delays.

Data Management & Reporting: The Inventory Assistant is responsible for preparing daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. This includes maintaining accurate logs, updating ERP or manual systems, generating usage reports, and providing insights to management for better planning and decision-making. Proper reporting ensures smooth operational control over stock levels.
