Inspection Engineer

Job Description

Property Inspection Oversight The Inspection Engineer will be responsible for conducting scheduled inspections of residential units during move-in and move-out phases, ensuring each unit meets the company’s quality, safety, and operational standards. This role demands a meticulous eye for detail and a proactive mindset to detect issues before tenants occupy or vacate the property.

Maintenance and Cleanliness Evaluation The role includes assessing cleanliness, identifying required maintenance, and ensuring the unit is fully prepared to the highest standard. The Inspection Engineer will follow structured checklists to evaluate all key elements, ensuring that every component of the unit is functioning properly and reflects professional upkeep.

Technical Issue Identification During inspections, the Inspection Engineer will thoroughly assess systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, civil work, and ELV components. This paragraph emphasizes the responsibility of capturing detailed notes, taking photographic evidence, and ensuring that every issue is documented accurately for timely resolution.

Interdepartmental Coordination The Inspection Engineer will collaborate closely with maintenance, facilities management, and housekeeping teams to resolve issues promptly. This collaboration ensures smooth unit readiness and supports seamless communication between departments to maintain high service standards across all operations.

Handover and Takeover Support This role plays an essential part in the move-in and move-out process by coordinating handovers, ensuring units are properly inspected, and verifying that tenants receive a space that is clean, functional, and ready. The Inspection Engineer will maintain strong professional communication with leasing and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition for tenants.

Reporting and Record Accuracy The Inspection Engineer will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive inspection reports, tracking completed work, and maintaining digital and physical records. These reports help management maintain accountability, track recurring issues, and make informed decisions regarding long-term maintenance planning.

Quality Assurance Contribution The role requires a commitment to quality by implementing inspection standards that align with the company’s expectations. The Inspection Engineer will identify repeat issues, suggest process improvements, and ensure inspection protocols are followed consistently to enhance the overall property experience.

Field Expertise and Operational Efficiency The Inspection Engineer will apply technical knowledge of building maintenance systems, material behavior, cost estimation, and repair methods to ensure all repairs are both accurate and cost-efficient.
