Position Overview

The Income Auditor will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and verifying all revenue transactions across hotel operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Audit daily revenue from all hotel departments including rooms, food & beverage, and other revenue centers

Verify accuracy of guest folios, room rates, and billing

Review cashier shifts and daily deposits

Reconcile daily sales reports and credit card transactions

Identify and investigate discrepancies in financial records

Monitor room rates and package plans for accuracy

Verify posting of all charges and adjustments

Prepare daily revenue reports for management

Monitor compliance with hotel credit policies

Review and verify commission calculations

Assist with month-end closing procedures

Monitor and report on void and adjustment transactions

Ensure proper implementation of internal controls

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel accounting or income auditing

Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Experience with revenue audit procedures and controls

Understanding of hospitality accounting principles

Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent attention to detail

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills in English

Proficiency in handling complex numerical data

Ability to work night shift/late hours (as this is typically a night audit position)

Technical Skills

Proficiency in hotel property management systems

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with accounting software

Knowledge of point-of-sale systems
