Job Overview: As a Human Resources Officer at Terracotta, you will be an essential part of a dynamic team, contributing to various HR functions that ensure smooth operations and employee satisfaction. Based in Dubai, this role requires an experienced HR professional with at least 5 years in a generalist capacity, especially within the UAE labor environment. The ideal candidate will bring efficiency, organization, and a deep understanding of HR best practices tailored to the UAE market.
Talent Acquisition & Management: You will be primarily responsible for identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent. From creating job descriptions and advertising roles to interviewing candidates and making hiring decisions, your involvement will be vital in building a strong team. You’ll also implement strategies to ensure successful onboarding and long-term employee engagement, playing a key role in shaping the company's workforce.
Payroll & HR Operations: Accurate payroll processing is essential for employee satisfaction and company compliance. You will handle monthly payroll tasks, maintain employee records, and ensure that all HR operations are conducted in line with company policies and labor laws. Experience with HRMS tools and Excel-based payroll workflows will be advantageous in this position.
Visa Processing & Onboarding: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing visa applications, renewals, cancellations, and related documentation. Additionally, you’ll ensure all new hires go through a structured onboarding experience, helping them feel welcomed and well-integrated into the company from day one.
Compliance & UAE Labor Law: A critical aspect of the role involves maintaining compliance with UAE labor regulations. You’ll be expected to keep up with legal updates, draft employment contracts, and ensure that HR policies reflect current labor laws. Your attention to legal detail will help mitigate risks and foster a legally compliant work environment.
Employee Relations & Performance Management: Fostering a positive and productive workplace culture is key. You’ll act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing concerns, resolving disputes, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies. Moreover, you'll support the performance review process, goal setting, and development plans to enhance employee growth.
