Job Description:

SLS Production is seeking an experienced HSE/Health and Safety professional to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, preferably in the events industry, although professionals from other industries are also encouraged to apply. This role requires a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, certifications, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all our events and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement health and safety policies, protocols, and procedures.

Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.

Review existing policies and measures and update them according to legislation.

Initiate and organize health and safety training for employees and contractors.

Inspect premises and work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.

Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.

Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.

Collaborate with management to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.

Ensure all staff have the required certifications and training to perform their duties safely.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5-7 years of experience, with a preference for experience in the events industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Certifications: Required certifications include NEBOS HIDIP, NEBOSH Diploma, UNIT (A, C, D), NEBOS HIGC, IRCA, and OSHAS 18001.

Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to conduct data analysis and report on statistics.

Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.

Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
