Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HSE Operations Officer to join our client's organization in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental practices to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in HSE operations

Post-graduation or Diploma in Industrial Safety

Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English

Valid UAE driving license preferred

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs

Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments

Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare detailed reports

Provide HSE training to employees at all levels

Monitor compliance with UAE safety regulations and standards

Maintain safety documentation and records

Coordinate with regulatory authorities for inspections and permits

Lead emergency response planning and drills

Perform safety audits and implement corrective actions

Evaluate and update safety procedures regularly

Monitor environmental impact and suggest improvements

Ensure proper waste management and disposal procedures

Coordinate with contractors regarding HSE requirements

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Thorough knowledge of UAE safety regulations and standards

Understanding of ISO 45001 and environmental management systems

Proficiency in safety management software

Risk assessment and hazard identification expertise

Emergency response planning

Incident investigation methodologies

Environmental protection guidelines

Industrial hygiene principles

Required Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English

Leadership and training capabilities

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to influence and drive cultural change

Strong report writing skills

Proactive approach to safety management

Education & Certifications

Post-graduation or Diploma in Industrial Safety

NEBOSH/IOSH certification preferred

First Aid certification

Additional HSE certifications are advantageous

Work Environment

Site-based role with regular field visits

May require working in various weather conditions

Some weekend or after-hours work may be required

Travel between different project sites
