Key Responsibilities: The HR Specialist will be responsible for handling recruitment processes, from job postings and candidate screening to onboarding new hires. Payroll management, benefits administration, and compliance with HR policies will also be core tasks. The candidate will serve as the bridge between management and staff, ensuring smooth communication and conflict resolution within the university.
Recruitment & Staffing: A major part of this role involves attracting, selecting, and retaining talented individuals for academic and administrative positions. The HR Specialist will design effective recruitment strategies, conduct interviews, and ensure the right candidates are placed in roles that align with the university’s mission. Maintaining a strong talent pipeline will be a key responsibility.
Payroll & Employee Benefits: The candidate will oversee payroll processing, ensuring salaries are accurately calculated and disbursed on time. They will also manage leave entitlements, health benefits, and other employee welfare initiatives. This requires attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and compliance with UAE regulations.
Compliance & HR Policies: Ensuring adherence to UAE labor laws and internal HR policies is crucial for this role. The HR Specialist will update and implement HR policies, maintain employee records, and handle visa renewals and documentation. They will also provide guidance to staff on compliance matters, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and legally.
Employee Relations: The successful candidate will foster a supportive workplace environment, addressing employee concerns, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting professional development initiatives. They will play a proactive role in building a positive work culture that encourages collaboration, motivation, and productivity among staff members.
