Job Description
GoGlobal is looking for a proactive and empathetic HR Local Representative Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for external employees in Mexico, with additional knowledge of Colombia, Costa Rica, and Peru considered a strong advantage. As a leading people-first international HR and Employer of Record service provider operating in over 140 countries across six continents, GoGlobal relies on dedicated in-country HR specialists to ensure its external employees receive seamless, compliant, and human-centred support throughout their employment lifecycle. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone who brings solid HR and employee relations experience, native Spanish fluency, and the organisational discipline to manage complex, detail-oriented HR operations across multiple client accounts in a fully remote environment.
In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for GoGlobal's external employees in Mexico, processing onboarding, admissions, terminations, resignations, contracts, and addendums while keeping internal systems and controls accurately updated. You will administer employee benefits including transportation, health insurance, meal vouchers, and life insurance in line with local country requirements, and work closely with the HR regional department to ensure onboarding forms and documents remain current and compliant. You will act as the primary interface between employees and the Payroll department for all expense-related matters, providing guidance on expense policy compliance and resolving employee expense enquiries. Managing electronic timeclock hours and timesheets, controlling vacation, sickness, maternity, and other leave tracking, and reporting and escalating employee issues to the appropriate internal teams for collective resolution will all be central to your day-to-day responsibilities. Building trustworthy relationships with external employees throughout the length of their contracts is at the heart of this role.
The ideal candidate brings two to three or more years of experience in HR or employee relations, with native Spanish fluency and fluency in English as mandatory requirements, and Portuguese as a meaningful additional advantage. You are organised, empathetic, assertive, and detail-oriented, with a proactive roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and a positive, flexible approach to fast-changing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Office 365, SharePoint, and AI tools is required, alongside excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the self-motivation and trustworthiness to operate independently in a remote environment.
