Job Description
Role Overview – Fontis ICAN is hiring an HR Generalist for a full-time, on-site role based in Rome, Italy. This position is ideal for versatile HR professionals with broad HR expertise, strong operational knowledge, and the ability to manage diverse HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration within a dynamic organizational environment.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition – You will manage recruitment and talent acquisition by posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates through multiple channels, screening CVs and applications, conducting interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, managing the selection process, extending job offers, and ensuring timely hiring of qualified candidates across all organizational functions.
Employee Onboarding and Integration – You will oversee employee onboarding and integration by preparing employment contracts and documentation, conducting orientation programs, facilitating new hire integration, coordinating training and induction activities, collecting required paperwork, and ensuring new employees have positive onboarding experiences and smooth transitions into the organization.
Employee Relations and Engagement – You will manage employee relations and drive engagement by serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, addressing workplace issues, mediating conflicts, facilitating open communication, implementing engagement initiatives, conducting employee surveys, and fostering positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
HR Policies and Compliance – You will ensure HR compliance and implement policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Italian labor law and employment regulations, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment contracts (contratti a tempo determinato, indeterminato, etc.), managing INPS and INAIL requirements, and supporting labor inspections and audits.
Performance Management – You will manage performance management processes by coordinating performance appraisal cycles, supporting managers with goal setting and feedback, tracking performance outcomes, identifying development needs, facilitating performance improvement plans when necessary, and ensuring effective performance management systems drive employee development and organizational success.
Compensation and Benefits Administration – You will administer compensation and benefits by managing salary administration, coordinating benefits enrollment (health insurance, pension schemes, meal vouchers, welfare programs), processing salary reviews, managing employee benefits programs, liaising with benefits providers, and ensuring competitive, compliant compensation and benefits practices.
Training and Development – You will coordinate training and development by identifying training needs through performance reviews and skills assessments, organizing training programs and professional development opportunities, coordinating with training providers, tracking training participation, maintaining training records, and supporting continuous learning and employee development.
HR Administration and Documentation – You will manage HR administration and documentation by maintaining employee files and personnel records, updating HR databases and systems, organizing contracts and agreements, tracking document expiry dates, preparing HR correspondence, and ensuring all HR documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with legal requirements.
