Role Overview – Woodlem Education is seeking an HR Assistant with prior school experience in the UAE to support our HR department and contribute to our growing educational organization. This position offers an opportunity to work in a school environment, support various HR functions, and develop your career in educational institution human resources management.
HR Administrative Support – You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department in managing day-to-day HR activities within the school environment. Assisting with documentation, filing, data entry, and maintaining organized HR records for teaching and non-teaching staff. Strong knowledge of school HR operations is essential to effectively support the unique requirements of educational institutions.
Recruitment Support – Supporting the recruitment process by posting job advertisements on education-specific job boards, screening teacher and staff applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates. Maintaining recruitment databases, tracking application status, and ensuring timely communication with applicants throughout the hiring process.
Onboarding Assistance – Assisting with new employee onboarding processes including preparing offer letters, employment contracts, and welcome packages. Coordinating orientation sessions for new teachers and staff, ensuring they receive necessary information about school policies, procedures, and culture. Supporting visa processing documentation and following up on medical fitness tests, Emirates ID applications, and other joining requirements.
Documentation Management – Maintaining and organizing employee files, updating HR databases, and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with UAE regulations. Managing document repositories including educational certificates, teaching licenses, attestations, and other credentials required for teachers working in UAE schools.
Leave and Attendance Tracking – Recording and tracking teacher and staff leave requests, maintaining attendance registers, and updating leave balances in the HR system. Coordinating with department heads regarding teacher absences and supporting arrangements for substitute teachers when needed.
Office Support – Providing general administrative support to the HR department including handling correspondence, maintaining office supplies, scheduling meetings, and assisting with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Officer or HR Manager.
