HR Advisor – Generalist

Job Description

Job Overview – The HR Advisor: Generalist will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end HR functions within the Oil & Gas / EPC environment. This position requires a professional who has hands-on experience with workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance in large-scale engineering projects across the UAE. The candidate should be confident in addressing HR challenges while ensuring business continuity.

Key Responsibilities: The HR Advisor will be responsible for supporting HR strategy implementation, managing employee lifecycle processes, and handling disciplinary matters. The role involves drafting HR policies, conducting investigations, supporting line managers with guidance, and ensuring compliance with UAE labor law and ADNOC standards, which are critical within the oil and gas sector.

Workforce & Talent Management: The role will require building robust workforce management processes including manpower planning, mobilization, and talent retention strategies. The HR Advisor will also coordinate recruitment efforts, ensuring that all positions are filled with qualified talent who can meet project timelines. A focus on onboarding, induction, and continuous employee engagement is essential.

Employee Relations: Maintaining positive employee relations is a vital responsibility of this role. The HR Advisor will act as a trusted partner to employees, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly while balancing organizational goals. Proficiency in conflict resolution, grievance handling, and promoting a safe and respectful workplace is necessary.

Compliance & Reporting: This position demands strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and Oil & Gas industry regulations. The HR Advisor will be accountable for accurate documentation, reporting to senior leadership, and maintaining compliance with corporate as well as government requirements. HR data management, audits, and reporting HR metrics will form part of the role.

Collaboration with Management: The HR Advisor will work closely with senior management, project managers, and site leadership to align HR policies with organizational goals. The advisor will provide insights into workforce trends, compensation benchmarks, and succession planning to strengthen overall HR performance.
