Job Description

Role Overview – Conrad Hotels and Resorts Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is preparing for the opening of Shanghai Tang, our upcoming specialty restaurant, and hiring a Hotel Manager. This exciting opportunity is ideal for passionate hospitality professionals who thrive in high-end service, value excellence, and want to be part of an iconic luxury brand. Chinese speakers are preferred.

Restaurant Management – You will manage Shanghai Tang restaurant operations including overseeing service delivery, managing staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational standards, coordinating with kitchen teams, and ensuring the specialty restaurant operates smoothly and profitably while delivering luxury service.

Service Excellence Leadership – You will lead service excellence by establishing service standards, training team members, modeling exceptional hospitality, ensuring attention to detail, maintaining luxury service levels, and creating memorable dining experiences that reflect both Conrad and Shanghai Tang brands.

Team Leadership and Development – You will lead and develop the restaurant team by recruiting staff, conducting training, providing coaching, motivating performance, managing schedules, and building a high-performing team capable of delivering outstanding service in a luxury specialty restaurant environment.

Guest Experience Management – You will ensure exceptional guest experiences by engaging with guests, addressing concerns promptly, personalizing service, exceeding expectations, handling VIP guests, and creating the refined, attentive hospitality that luxury diners expect.

Operational Oversight – You will oversee daily restaurant operations including reservations management, seating coordination, service flow, quality control, inventory management, supplier coordination, and ensuring all operational aspects support seamless dining experiences.

Financial Management – You will manage restaurant financial performance including revenue optimization, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, analyzing financial reports, and ensuring the restaurant achieves profitability targets while maintaining service quality.

Brand Standards Compliance – You will ensure compliance with Conrad brand standards, Shanghai Tang concept requirements, food safety regulations, health and safety procedures, and luxury hospitality protocols. Maintaining standards protects brand reputation and guest safety.

Pre-Opening Involvement – You will participate in pre-opening preparations including staff recruitment and training, operational planning, establishing procedures, coordinating with design and kitchen teams, and ensuring readiness for successful restaurant launch.
