Head of Teaching and Learning

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Teaching and Learning team

Develop 4-5 year educational strategy

Collaborate with Executive Team on organizational direction

Work with Wiliguwa (Board of Studies) on curriculum development

Embed Indigenous Knowings into curriculum

Manage teaching and learning budget

Provide expert advice to CEO on curriculum matters

Requirements:

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person (Genuine Occupational Requirement)

Degree in Education/Teaching

Extensive post-graduate education experience

Understanding of ASQA and VET Sector

Strong education management skills

Excellent communication abilities

Mandatory Checks:

National Police Check

NSW Working with Children Check

Fit and Proper Person certification

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of contemporary Indigenous issues

Sensitive communication with First Nations people

Performing Arts experience
