Duties & Responsibilities:

Michael Page is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate procurement, particularly in indirect services, and a tech-centered approach to procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery times.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Cost Management: Manage and reduce procurement costs while maintaining the quality of goods and services.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve high performance and professional growth.

Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Technology Integration: Leverage technology to streamline procurement processes and drive innovation within the function.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.

Experience & Skills:

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate (indirect services) procurement, with proven experience in developing a procurement function.

Tech-Centered Approach: Strong understanding and implementation of technology in procurement processes.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process improvements and cost reductions.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Vendor Management: Proven experience in managing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term procurement plans.
