Duties & Responsibilities:

Operational and Fraud Risk Management:

Lead and manage the organization's operational and fraud risk management strategies.

Develop, implement, and monitor risk management policies and procedures.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Stay updated with local and international regulations affecting risk management.

Ensure the organization complies with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.

Investigations and Examinations:

Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud or other unethical activities.

Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams during investigations.

Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions.

Risk Identification and Mitigation:

Identify potential risks to the organization, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.

Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.

Monitor the effectiveness of risk management strategies and adjust as needed.

Internal Controls:

Design and implement robust internal controls to prevent and detect fraud.

Regularly review and update internal control systems.

Train staff on the importance of internal controls and risk management.

Leadership and Advisory:

Provide leadership and direction to the risk management team.

Advise senior management and the board of directors on risk-related issues.

Promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.

Performance Tracking:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for risk management activities.

Track and report on the performance of risk management initiatives.

Use performance data to drive continuous improvement.

Project Management:

Lead and manage risk management projects from inception to completion.

Coordinate with various departments to ensure project success.

Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.

Technical Proficiency:

Utilize advanced risk management software and tools.

Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in risk exposure.

Implement technological solutions to enhance risk management processes.

Attention to Detail:

Maintain a high level of accuracy in all risk management activities.

Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.

Pay close attention to detail in risk assessments and investigations.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational and fraud risk management.

Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) are highly desirable.

Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
