Revolut is looking for an experienced and independent Head of Internal Audit to establish and lead its local internal audit function in Canada. As the world's leading financial super app with over 52.5 million customers worldwide, more than £1 trillion in transaction volume processed in 2024, and a valuation of USD 45 billion, Revolut is expanding its regulated banking presence across North America and building the governance infrastructure to match. This is a senior leadership role for an audit professional who brings deep Canadian banking regulatory knowledge, the credibility to engage with OSFI, and the experience to build an internal audit function from the ground up.

In this role, you will establish and lead the local internal audit function, ensuring independence, objectivity, and full compliance with OSFI expectations and IIA Standards. You will develop and execute the annual risk-based audit plan, covering key business areas, and present it to the audit committee for approval. You will provide independent assurance over governance, risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, and report audit findings, emerging risks, remediation progress, and the overall effectiveness of the control environment to the board and audit committee. Overseeing co-sourced or outsourced audit providers to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with the approved audit plan will be central to your responsibilities, as will monitoring and validating management's remediation actions and escalating overdue or high-risk issues where appropriate. You will maintain and continuously improve internal audit methodology and quality assurance frameworks in line with regulatory and group standards, and partner with senior leadership, regulators, and external auditors to strengthen governance and support sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate brings ten or more years of internal audit experience within banking or financial services, including leadership experience in a regulated financial institution. You have direct experience establishing or significantly developing an internal audit function, audit charter, or audit methodology, and a solid understanding of Canadian banking regulations, OSFI supervisory expectations, and risk-based audit practices. Expertise in governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance across banking operations is essential, as is experience reporting to boards and audit committees and presenting complex audit findings with clarity and independence. A proven ability to build relationships with regulators, senior stakeholders, and outsourced audit providers while maintaining independence, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills are all required. A CIA, CPA, or equivalent qualification, along with knowledge of AI, data analytics, and continuous auditing techniques, are meaningful advantages.
