As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a seasoned Head of HSE to join our team and lead the EHS function for our renewable energy projects in the UAE.

Job Purpose/Objective:

As the Head of HSE, you will provide strategic leadership in occupational health, safety, hygiene, quality, and environmental management across renewable energy projects. You will design, develop, implement, and maintain EHS systems to ensure compliance, safety, and operational efficiency throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Direction:

Lead and support the EHS function, ensuring that health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

System Development & Maintenance:

Oversee the development and ongoing management of organizational safety, health, quality, and environmental management systems.

Environmental Management:

Implement and maintain effective environmental management programs specific to renewable energy projects.

Health & Safety Management:

Drive health, hygiene, and safety management initiatives to foster a safe working environment on site.

Business Optimization:

Manage resources efficiently to enhance business effectiveness and continuity.

Reporting & Meetings:

Prepare and submit monthly and periodic reports on health, hygiene, safety, and quality to the Project Director.

Attend and actively contribute to project review meetings.

Requirements:

Education:

Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Management, or Environmental Health.

NEBOSH (IGC) certification is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in EHS management within construction, including at least 5 years in large-scale EPC renewable projects (solar/wind).

Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in budgeting, planning, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.

Expertise in report writing, data analysis, and presentation.

Ability to manage a diverse workforce and mentor team members.

Knowledge:

Deep understanding of SHE risk management, HSE legislation, and national standards.

Familiarity with construction processes, EHS management systems (OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001), and incident investigation.

Proficient in project management, behavior-based safety, and business process mapping.
