Role Overview :

Levity is seeking an experienced and technically strong Head of Façade Engineering to lead façade engineering activities across projects from concept development through detailed design and delivery. The role involves providing technical direction, reviewing façade systems and designs, coordinating with architects and project teams, and ensuring engineering solutions meet required performance, quality, and project objectives. The ideal candidate should have strong façade engineering expertise, leadership capability, and experience managing complex building-envelope requirements.

Façade Engineering Leadership:

• Lead façade engineering activities across assigned projects and design stages.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to façade engineering teams.
• Establish effective engineering approaches for complex façade systems.
• Review technical deliverables and ensure consistency across project requirements.

Façade Design & Development:

• Lead the development of façade concepts and engineering solutions.
• Review façade systems, materials, interfaces, and performance requirements.
• Evaluate design proposals and identify practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure façade designs integrate effectively with architectural and structural requirements.

Technical Design Review:

• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and technical submissions.
• Identify design risks, coordination issues, and potential constructability concerns.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve façade performance and project outcomes.
• Ensure engineering documentation is accurate, coordinated, and technically sound.

Project Coordination:

• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Resolve technical interfaces between façade systems and other building components.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical input.
• Support project teams in addressing façade-related design and engineering challenges.

Performance & Compliance:

• Review façade systems against applicable project specifications and performance criteria.
• Support assessment of structural, thermal, weatherproofing, acoustic, and other relevant façade performance requirements.
• Ensure engineering solutions align with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Review testing and performance information where required.

Construction & Technical Support:

• Provide engineering support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and construction stages.
• Review technical submissions, shop drawings, material information, and proposed façade solutions.
• Assist project teams in resolving technical issues encountered during construction.
• Support inspections, testing, and quality-related façade activities when required.

Risk & Quality Management:

• Identify technical risks associated with façade design, materials, interfaces, and construction.
• Recommend appropriate mitigation measures and engineering solutions.
• Maintain a strong focus on technical quality and design integrity.
• Support continuous improvement of façade engineering processes and standards.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate façade engineering professionals.
• Allocate technical responsibilities and monitor project deliverables.
• Communicate complex engineering matters clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary project teams.
