Role Overview – Genus Studio is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our remote team and create clean, modern visuals for digital marketing campaigns. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in real marketing environments, collaborating with our team to design email campaigns, social media content, and digital assets that drive results.

Email Design – You will design clean, modern email templates and marketing campaigns that engage audiences and drive conversions. Creating visually appealing email layouts with strong hierarchy, compelling calls-to-action, and mobile-responsive designs. Experience with Klaviyo email platform is a big plus but not mandatory. Understanding of email design best practices including image optimization, text-to-image ratio, and rendering across different email clients.

Social Media Content – Designing engaging social media graphics for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other channels. Creating content that stops the scroll, communicates messages quickly, and aligns with brand guidelines. Developing templates and design systems that enable consistent content creation while maintaining visual appeal.

Email Marketing Knowledge – Basic understanding of email marketing principles including mobile optimization, CAN-SPAM compliance, accessible design practices, and how to create emails that render properly across different email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.).

Openness to Feedback – Being open to feedback and eager to improve is crucial for success in this role. We're looking for someone who views feedback as an opportunity to grow, not as criticism. Collaborative mindset and willingness to iterate on designs until they meet objectives.

Learning Mindset – Eagerness to learn and develop your skills in a marketing-focused design environment. Curiosity about how design impacts marketing performance and interest in understanding the strategic side of creative work. Enthusiasm for staying updated with design trends and marketing best practices.

Communication Skills – Good communication skills to understand project requirements, ask clarifying questions, and present design concepts to the team. Ability to explain your design decisions and advocate for effective design solutions while remaining flexible to team needs.

Remote Work Capability – Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong self-discipline and time management. Comfortable using collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, project management platforms, and cloud-based file sharing. Reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace for remote design work.

USA-Based Requirement – This position is open to candidates based in the United States. Understanding of USA market design preferences and cultural context is valuable for creating relevant marketing materials.
