Job Description


Role Overview – The Global Account Manager is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities across a global sales territory. This role focuses on providing advanced IP transit, Wave connectivity, Ethernet, Colocation, and IPv4 services to high-value clients and strategic accounts.

Business Development – The role involves leveraging multiple outreach methods such as direct calls, emails, and in-person meetings to connect with key decision-makers. The Global Account Manager drives new business opportunities while maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients to achieve revenue targets.

Consultative Sales Approach – Employing a relationship-driven sales methodology, you will analyze clients’ current and future connectivity requirements. This includes identifying gaps in existing infrastructure and proposing customized solutions that meet both operational and strategic business goals.

Positioning Services – You will position Cogent’s global network services as the preferred choice for clients by highlighting the extensive coverage and reliability of the network. This includes promoting access to commercial and retail buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities.

Internal Collaboration – Collaborating with internal teams is essential to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded. You will coordinate with engineering, technical support, and operations teams to deliver seamless solutions and maintain high client satisfaction levels.

CRM and Reporting – Maintaining detailed records of sales activities within CRM systems is a key responsibility. The role requires tracking sales progress, managing customer interactions, and generating reports to provide actionable insights for management and future strategy planning.
