Global Account Manager

Job Description

Role Overview: Cogent Communications is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Global Account Manager to join our team in London. In this client-facing sales role, you will identify and close new business opportunities within a global sales territory.

Sales & Prospecting: You will be responsible for targeting key market segments requiring services such as IP Transit, Wave Connectivity, Ethernet, Colocation, and IPv4. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include cold calling, email outreach, and meeting potential clients to generate new business opportunities.

Consultative Selling: You'll apply a consultative sales approach to identify and understand clients’ current and future connectivity needs. Your ability to build long-term relationships and act as a trusted advisor will be key to success.

Value Proposition: You will effectively position Cogent’s global network services as the preferred solution, leveraging our extensive presence in commercial buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, and data centers worldwide.

Collaboration: In this role, you’ll work closely with internal departments including engineering, support, and billing to ensure that client expectations are not only met but exceeded.

CRM & Pipeline Management: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of your activities in our CRM system, managing your pipeline, tracking communication, and ensuring follow-ups are timely and effective.

Performance & Growth: You will work with revenue targets and contribute to company growth through proactive sales initiatives and strategic client engagement. Success will be measured by your ability to close deals and expand market share.
