Job Description

Global Business Development: Cogent Communications is seeking a Global Account Manager to identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within a global sales territory, focusing on market segments requiring IP transit, Wave connectivity, Ethernet, Colocation, and IPv4 services.

New Business Development and Lead Generation: The role involves using direct calling, email outreach, and customer meetings to connect with Key Decision Makers and generate new business opportunities.

Consultative Sales Approach: The Global Account Manager will employ consultative and relationship-driven sales approaches to identify prospective clients’ current and future connectivity needs.

Service Positioning and Value Proposition: The role requires positioning Cogent’s services as the preferred choice by leveraging their extensive global network footprint, which spans commercial and retail buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities.

Internal Collaboration and Customer Satisfaction: The Global Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and expectations exceeded.

CRM Management and Sales Tracking: The role involves maintaining and updating detailed records of sales activities in CRM systems, tracking progress, and managing customer relationships.

Global Territory Management: The role will manage a global sales territory.
