General Manager

Job Description

Position Overview

The General Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, maximize revenue, and maintain the highest standards of service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive hotel performance, revenue growth, and market positioning

Lead and mentor a diverse team of department heads, ensuring alignment with company vision and objectives

Monitor and analyze financial performance, including P&L statements, budgets, and forecasts

Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, health and safety regulations, and company policies

Drive marketing initiatives and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners

Oversee quality standards across all departments including rooms, food & beverage, and guest services

Implement and maintain effective cost control measures while maintaining service excellence

Manage capital expenditure projects and property maintenance programs

Handle high-profile guest relations and resolve complex customer service issues

Drive innovation in service delivery and guest experience enhancement

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in luxury hotel operations with at least 5 years in senior management

Proven track record of successful hotel management and financial performance

Strong understanding of UAE hospitality market and cultural awareness

Excellence in revenue management and P&L optimization

Outstanding leadership and team development abilities

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are highly advantageous
