About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating insurance risks and determining appropriate premium rates for general insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

Assess insurance applications and evaluate risk factors using established underwriting guidelines

Review and analyze client information, financial records, and insurance history

Determine appropriate premium rates and coverage terms based on risk assessment

Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather additional information when needed

Maintain detailed documentation of underwriting decisions and policy modifications

Monitor and update existing policies to ensure continued profitability

Contribute to the development and refinement of underwriting guidelines

Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance and risk exposure

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in general insurance underwriting

Valid UAE insurance certification or relevant professional qualifications

Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and market trends

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

Proficiency in insurance underwriting software and MS Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Arabic language proficiency is preferred
